Oppo ‘Pitch to Rich’ video

Proposition:

To create an engaging and eye-catching Youtube video to boost the profile of Oppo Ice cream in their quest to win a £250,000 prize from the Virgin’s ‘Pitch to Rich’ competition.

Overview:

Writing a script on the spot, we took to shooting the hugely entertaining video the very next day on a roof in Peckham.

Spirit provided equipment, crew and extras to parody past Youtube hits, including the ‘Charlie bit my finger’ video and Gangnam Style dance.

Results:

– Sales of ice cream doubled during the campaign

– 100,000 video views, 1,000,000 reach!

– Caught the attention of PM David Cameron, and chosen to represent Britain’s entrepreneurial prowess at Milan’s International business exhibit. Oppo were one of only four businesses invited onto the PM’s RAF jet to fly to Italy, and show the home of gelato, a new and healthy ‘way to make ice cream’.
